For 12 years, I had the extraordinary opportunity to travel the world with a video production company, creating award-winning media that brought ancient history and faith to life. Along the way, I worked with scholars and archaeologists, capturing their insights on location and helping audiences connect more deeply with the people, places, and stories of the past.
Those experiences left a lasting impression on me.
There's something remarkable about standing where history happened. Ancient ruins become more than stones. Biblical stories take on new depth. And the distance between the world we read about and the world we live in suddenly feels a little smaller.
I wanted to help others experience that same sense of discovery.
That passion led me to earn a master's degree in biblical exegesis, with the goal of leading educational study trips to the lands of the Bible. But during my studies, I began to recognize a difficult reality: most people would never have the opportunity to take the very trips I hoped to lead.
For some, the cost was simply too high. Others faced limitations of time, health, mobility, or family responsibilities. And with the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing regional conflicts, access to many of these remarkable places became even more uncertain.
That's when two passions came together.
What if I could combine everything I'd learned about immersive visual storytelling with the educational depth of a guided study trip? What if people could explore ancient cities, stand among archaeological ruins, and learn from knowledgeable guides and scholars — without needing to travel halfway around the world?
That idea became VR Study Trips.
Today, we're bringing together immersive 360° media, expert insights, and thoughtfully designed lessons to make place-based learning more accessible, engaging, and meaningful.
Our journey begins with the lands of the Bible, but the vision reaches far beyond them. I believe there's a whole world of history, culture, and discovery waiting to be explored — and everyone deserves the opportunity to experience it.
