Day 3: Hellenism

Hellenism spread Greek culture, philosophy, and religion across the ancient world, influencing art, education, government, and daily life. Many aspects of Hellenistic culture conflicted with biblical values, including the worship of multiple gods, a focus on personal glory, and a worldview that celebrates strength, beauty, and wealth.

Learners will recognize how Hellenistic beliefs and values often conflicted with biblical teachings, creating challenges for early followers of Jesus. Early Christians had to navigate a culture that challenged their faith, just as we do today. We will then explore how cultural influences shape our beliefs today and discuss how to remain faithful to God while living in a world with different values.
